About the product
Stepathlon is a white-label platform for virtual fitness challenges. Participants collect steps and wellness activities, progress through virtual courses, earn points and compete on leaderboards. Brands, sports organisations and companies use it to engage their communities.
My part
I contributed to Stepathlon as a contractor developer through ANODA, working inside Q agency's delivery team. My work was on the React web application, within the team's architecture, design system, sprint process and code review. The product, its design and its delivery belong to Stepathlon and Q agency.
What it taught me
Working on a live consumer product with a large, distributed team: two-week sprints, strict review, shared design systems and third-party integrations for activity data and leaderboards. That is the same way I now work when I join an agency's team (see "For agencies").
