React and Next.js Development for products that keep growing
React and Next.js development for startups and product teams, including the Node.js back ends behind them. An MVP typically takes six to twelve weeks, and I can also join an existing codebase as an embedded senior engineer.
When frontend work starts to matter
These are the moments when a senior engineer pays for themselves, usually before anyone calls it a problem.
Every new feature takes longer than the last one
The app is slow, and nobody is sure where the time goes
You need an MVP that will not have to be thrown away
Your team needs senior capacity now, not after months of hiring
You have inherited a codebase and do not know what is safe to change
You need one person who can own the frontend and the API together
What I do
Build
- MVPs and web apps with React, Next.js and Remix
- Mobile apps with React Native when the product needs one
- APIs and back ends with Node.js, NestJS, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Admin dashboards and internal tools
Ensure
- Performance: rendering, data fetching, memoisation and lazy loading
- Accessible components and consistent design systems
- Tests in CI for the parts that change most often
Join
- Embedded in your team, your tools and your review process
- Technical audits of existing codebases, with a written list of risks and priorities
- Clean handover: documentation, readable commit history, no loose ends
Typical engagement
Six to twelve weeks for an MVP or a custom web application, or ongoing work as an embedded engineer in your team. For an unfamiliar codebase I usually start with a short technical review.
Ways to work together
Fixed-scope project
Clear deliverables, timeline and price agreed up front.
Monthly retainer
Ongoing improvements, maintenance and support for your store or product.
Embedded engineer
I join your team as a senior contractor through ANODA.

How I work one senior engineer, a team of agents
I work through ANODA Loop: AI agents draft code, tests and documentation, and I decide, review and sign off. You get one accountable senior engineer, with the throughput of a small team.
Questions about this service
Do you work as a freelance or nearshore React developer?
Yes. I work through my company ANODA from Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the CET time zone, for teams in the EU, the UK and the US. Contracting through a company keeps invoicing and responsibilities simple.
Can you join our existing codebase?
Yes. I have worked inside large established codebases, including microfrontends for DailyMail through Q agency. I start by reading before changing, and agree on risks and priorities with your team.
Next.js or Remix?
Both are good. I choose based on where you host, what your team knows and how the app loads data. If you already use one, I will not suggest a rewrite for its own sake.
Do you also do the design?
I work from your designs in Figma, or with your designer. For internal tools and admin dashboards I can design the interface myself within a consistent component system.

A short call is the fastest way to find out whether I am the right person for it. If I am not, I will tell you.
